Research Overview

Retatrutide is a triple agonist (GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon). Research interest is once weekly.

This page is the 10 mg vial. Mix: 1.0 mL bacteriostatic water → 10 mg/mL. Same concentration as a 20 mg vial with 2.0 mL or a 30 mg vial with 3.0 mL, so the unit table matches the beginner cheat sheet.

Parameter 10 mg research model
Vial 10 mg lyophilized
Standard mix 1.0 mL bacteriostatic water
Concentration 10 mg/mL
Easy mark 5 units = 0.5 mg (1 unit = 100 mcg)
Pattern Once weekly
Beginner start 0.5 mg (or 1 mg) for weeks 1-4

Mix Math

Add 1.0 mL bacteriostatic water to the 10 mg vial.

U-100 math at 10 mg/mL: 1 unit = 0.01 mL = 100 mcg.

Weekly amount Units Volume
0.5 mg 5 units 0.05 mL
1.0 mg 10 units 0.10 mL
1.5 mg 15 units 0.15 mL
2.0 mg 20 units 0.20 mL
2.5 mg 25 units 0.25 mL
3.0 mg 30 units 0.30 mL

Mix Steps

  1. Gather the 10 mg vial, bacteriostatic water, alcohol swabs, and a sterile U-100 syringe.
  2. Wipe both rubber stoppers with alcohol and let dry.
  3. Draw 1.0 mL bacteriostatic water.
  4. Introduce water slowly along the glass wall. Do not fire it at the powder.
  5. Swirl or roll. Do not shake.
  6. Label mix date and concentration. Refrigerate at 2-8 C.
  7. Plan around 28-30 days after mixing. Discard if cloudy.

Research Cycle Pattern

Once weekly. Hold each step 4 weeks. This is the CoreVials beginner chart, not the older 2 mg trial jump.

Phase Weeks Weekly amount Units at 10 mg/mL
Start 1-4 0.5 mg (or 1 mg) 5 units (or 10)
Step 1 5-8 2 mg (or 1.5 mg) 20 units (or 15)
Step 2 9-12 2.5 mg 25 units
Step 3 13-16 3 mg 30 units
Later 17+ +0.5 to 1 mg every 4 weeks 5 to 10 units more

0.5 mg is the gentler start. Stay at a hold that is still working. 12 mg is the published high end, not a starter mark.

Pairing with Cagrilintide (LEAN blend): keep this Retatrutide start, then add Cagrilintide at 0.25 mg after about 8 weeks. See the LEAN blend cheat sheet.

How This Works

GLP-1 slows the gut and quiets appetite. GIP supports insulin signaling. Glucagon raises energy use. Half-life is on the order of 6 days, so charts treat it as once weekly.

Storage and Handling

  • Lyophilized: cool, dry, dark. Freeze at about -20 C for longer holding.
  • After mixing: refrigerate at 2-8 C. Do not freeze. Protect from light.
  • Discard cloudy or particulate solution.
